custom scoped Chest Rig
As a youngster at 13 years old, Terry's Mother took him down to the local Tandy Leather store to buy his first leather kit for his Birthday. Soon after, he started making wallets and coin purses for his Mother to take to work and sell. Now, an accomplished saddle maker and gun advocate, Terry found the need to build quality custom holsters in an era where "Made in America" is almost a long lost memory.
With the barrage of chemically treated leather imported to the U.S., it is very easy to say "Made in the U.S." these days. Terry felt that it was important to manufacture gun leather not only in the U.S., but from 100% U.S. products as well. This pride stems from a long line of family military history and Terry's Navy service as a nuclear weapons loading and delivery instructor.
Terry's wife Marie is a retired Florist of 34+ years and an Army brat. Her patriotism came from her Father's service in Korea and several tours in Vietnam. A highly decorated veteran, who gives back to his country in so many ways...
At Western Image Leatherworks, Inc, we take quality very seriously. Our full grain hides are sourced strictly from Herman Oak Leather in Missouri for all of our premium orders. Each order is hand crafted from start to finish with care and attention to detail.
Choosing to hand craft all of our products here in Colorado gives us immense pride to say "Made in America." American manufacturing for us is about quality, honor and a lot of hard work. American manufacturing is more expensive yet for handmade fine leather products, having to handle each and every order that bares the Western Images Leatherworks name, is well worth it.
Every product that leaves our workshop tells a unique story of craftsmanship, from the American Steer that was raised on an American cattle ranch to the American tannery that prepared the leather for our workshop. All these steps tell a story of American hard work that this country was founded.
Let us be a part of your story...
